Our Story
Our Story
The TÂM story began in Vietnam back in 2005 when Hoa moved back from France after over 10 years working there in a travel agency. TÂM was created with 5 staffs. The company first received tourists from France and after that Germany. Now TÂM has 30 staff with thousands of happy European clients per year.

- We team up with local residents to help them earn supplemental income through providing services and products.
- We help facilitate the building of road in remote communities in Hoa Binh, Vietnam making it easier for surrounding villages to access the field, transport farming products and develop the local economy.

Tâm Travel is privately owned and operated by its founder, Hoang Thi Hoa. There are dedicated team in place for different market France, Germany, UK and Asia.

DIRECTOR
Hoa was born in Vietnam and worked in Thailand and France for over 10 years. Hoa has had a passion for travel in South East Asia while working in a travel agency in France and moving back to Vietnam to open Tam Travel in 2005.

Huong has spent her entire career working for Tâm after her university graduation. She has travelled to explore South East Asia to gain valuable and extensive knowledge about the region.

Viet was born in Vietnam and having grown up in 5 countries across Asia, Europe and America he has a passion for travel and has spent the majority of his career working for Tâm. Outside of the tourism industry, he has also worked in consulting and development. Viet holds a degree in Economics from Amherst College in Massachusetts- USA.

After years working in a media company, Chau decided to take on the challenge of Marketing Deputy Director with Tam Travel. Chau holds a Master degree from Middlesex University – UK with a focus in marketing.

Let’s face it. Even the most “responsible” travel has an impact on the world. So we strive, every day, for our net impact to be positive. Keeping our groups small allows us to blend into the places we are exploring, rather than diluting the local flavor with our presence. Even if it costs more, we follow the rules. We work closely with local partners to ensure that everyone who serves us earns a fair wage. We carefully research the experiences we provide to our guests so that we can be confident that wildlife, ecosystems, historic sites, and most importantly the people we encounter are not being harmed by our activities.
Our goal is to form a symbiotic relationship with the places we go, so that not only do they benefit, but our travelers also return home with a better understanding of their place in the world.
